Scientist, Biopharmaceutical Development, Major Biotech, near Boston, MA, Position 428

Client is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to work as a member of the Chemistry Testing team in the department of Analytical Development. Extensive experience with HPLC is necessary and knowledge of peptide mapping and carbohydrate analysis are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for sample testing primarily by HPLC in support of Biopharmaceutical Process Development. Experience with mass spec, gels and/or capillary electrophoresis would be advantageous. The candidate will perform routine testing and participate in activities such as assay troubleshooting and assay optimization. Additional requirements include accurate record keeping, data analysis using various software packages, preparation of technical reports and standard operation procedures. In addition, the candidate should possess good interpersonal skills, have attention to detail and able to work well independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications: 2-5 years experience in the biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent. The candidate should have excellent laboratory, computer, documentation and organizational skills; as well as good communication skills. Experience with HPLC is required.

Education: B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related Biological Science
