Scientist in Biochemistry, Large Biotech near Boston, MA, Position 432

Client is seeking a highly motivated, experienced scientist to be responsible for the purification of recombinant proteins and for the design, development, evaluation and implementation of biochemical and enzyme assays to assess the biological activity of biopharmaceutical products.

The role requires a degree (BS/MS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field. Masters degree plus experience (2+ yrs) is preferred. Experience in protein chemistry, BIAcore binding studies, ELISA, enzyme activity assays, cell-based assays, and fluorescence-based assays is essential. Experience in protein expression, purification and bioconjugation is a plus. Critical thinking, systematic problem solving and proven aptitude in the design and conduct of scientific experiments and subsequent interpretation are a must.

Education: MS + 2 yrs or BS + 5 yrs. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential and the individual should possess the ability to work well independently and also within a collaborative team environment.
