Group Leader, Mass Spectrometry Research in
Biology and Proteomics,
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Client seeks an outstanding scientist and manager to
lead a mass spectrometry research group which uses mass spectrometry and other
proteomic tools to support biological research programs. This individual
will be a key member of multi-disciplinary project teams. He or she will provide support to biologists
to identify and design analytical solutions to address their needs using mass
spectrometry. This individual will also be expected to use Bioinformatics
and statistical tools to interpret the data and expand the application of mass
spectrometry to support client’s biological research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D in biology, biochemistry or a related life science discipline and 6-10 years of academic and/or industrial research experience in mass spectrometry based biological and proteomics research. Experience leading a multidisciplinary team of scientists and strong written and oral communications skills are essential.
