Position Description
The position of Senior Research Associate in Drug Metabolism
requires an excellent understanding of the chemistry of drug metabolism and/or
LC-MS/MS fragmentation of small molecules.
Our client seeks a highly motivated candidate with experience in
determining the biotransformation pathways of small molecules and in metabolite
ID and/or small molecule identification by LC/MS/MS. This person will work as a member of our DMPK
group, and will be responsible, with supervision, for designing, performing and
interpreting a variety of drug metabolism studies with a focus on characterizing
drug metabolism pathways, metabolite profiling and ID, metabolite structural
elucidation and metabolic stability. This
person will work closely with other drug metabolism and PK scientists to
analyze and interpret data.
Position Requirements:
· BS or MS in Chemistry, Drug Metabolism, Biochemistry or related field and 3-5 years experience.
· Experience with small molecule LC-MS/MS analysis and interpretation
· Experience with in vitro ADME assays such as microsome and hepatocyte incubations.
· Experience with metabolite or small molecule structural elucidation
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
