Primary responsibilities, specific duties:

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

As a member of the Analytical Chemistry group, your primary duties will include impurity identification using various LC/MS techniques and analytical HPLC and GC method development to support process chemistry group.  Other duties may include high-throughput screening of library compounds and analysis of protein/peptide using mass spectrometry based technology.

 

Typical activities will involve experimental design, execution, results interpretation, and reporting to project team members in order to advance projects through discovery and development stages.  Work will require the basic understanding of LC/MS operation, data interpretation and its application in drug discovery and drug development.    

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

Qualified candidates will have a Master or Ph.D. in Analytical or Organic Chemistry with minimum of 0-5 years of post-doctorate or industrial experience.  Mass spectrometry experience with small molecule is ideal, and will be a definite plus to have mass spectrometry experience with large molecules.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to evaluate and prioritize research efforts, perform research independently, work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.  The ability to lead and influence project teams to accomplish objectives is highly desirable.
